Our Approach to Boat & Yacht Management
VesselGuard provides boat and yacht management on Florida’s Treasure Coast, serving owners from Vero Beach through Fort Pierce to Stuart.
Our approach connects regular inspections, maintenance tracking, and repair coordination. You know what needs attention, have a clear path to getting it addressed, and spend less time managing your boat’s care yourself.
Care Built Around Your Boat
We begin by creating a vessel profile that records your boat’s equipment and maintenance information. Inspection checklists are customized to the systems aboard, with items that don’t apply removed.
You choose the VesselGuard plan that provides the visit frequency and services you want. The inspection schedule follows that plan and your boat’s equipment.
Scheduled Inspections and Findings
Regular visits help identify developing problems between outings. Safety inspections are completed at every scheduled visit. Engine starts are performed monthly, including engine flushing for outboards.
Additional inspections follow your selected plan and applicable add-ons. Inspection results and identified issues are documented with photos and available through your owner portal.
Safety Inspection
Checks vessel security and safety-critical equipment, including dock lines, shore power, bilge pumps, strainers, and battery chargers.
Engine Start Sequence
Starts engines, checks operation, exercises transmissions where applicable, and inspects for potential issues. Includes engine flushing for outboards and generator checks where applicable.
Vessel / Yacht Systems Inspection
Checks the operation and condition of onboard systems using a checklist tailored to your boat’s equipment.
Interior Inspection
Checks freshwater pumps, appliances, heads, and air conditioning for proper operation, and inspects cabin spaces for leaks.
Preventative Maintenance Protocol
Performs routine care aboard cabin boats, including adding sea-strainer treatment tablets, cleaning air-conditioning filters, treating and cycling freshwater systems and tanks, and performing pump-outs as applicable.
Tender Inspection — Add-on
Starts the engine, performs engine flushing, and checks batteries, equipment, and bilge pumps for condition and operation.
Jet Ski Inspection — Add-on
Starts the engine, performs engine flushing, and checks batteries and safety equipment.
Inspection availability and frequency depend on your VesselGuard plan and your boat’s equipment.
Your Boat’s Care, Clearly Documented
Your online owner portal brings upcoming services and maintenance, inspection reports, documented issues, open work orders, and service records together in one place.
Whether you’re nearby or away, you can see what needs attention, what work is pending, and what’s already been completed—without searching through messages or keeping your own maintenance log.
Findings Turned Into Next Steps
When an inspection identifies an issue, our management team reviews the findings. We explain the recommended work and obtain your approval before proceeding with repairs.
Our in-house service team handles work within its capabilities. When outside specialists are required, vendor coordination is available according to your plan.
You have one company to contact about your boat’s care, rather than having to piece together inspection findings and arrange the next steps alone.
Maintenance Tracked Before It’s Overlooked
We track upcoming maintenance using your boat’s service history and applicable service intervals.
Our team contacts you about services coming due, follows up for approval, and arranges scheduling for approved work. Completed services become part of your vessel’s maintenance history.
Maintenance tracking is included in every VesselGuard plan.
Oversight That Fits Your Life
Choose monthly, twice-monthly, or weekly visits. More frequent visits reduce the time between checks; the inspections and management services included depend on your plan.
Whether you’re nearby year-round or away for months, you can stay informed about your boat without personally keeping track of every inspection, finding, and service date.
